I just purchase some AVET reels A JX and a MXL two speed. I was impressed with there free spool spin. I'm looking for some feedback on how they fish and hold up.

I know a guy who has been fishing AVETs for awhile now. He's fished a bunch of models on his yearly long-range trips and he loves them. I used to sell AVETs, and have had many happy customers. While I sold a few to people who hadn't seen them before, most of them went to our hardcore customers who came in and asked for them specifically, having already seen them in action and loving them. The AVETs are great reels, and even better at their prices. Good choice!:-)

I was checking out a little tiny gold lever drag Avet at Charkbait, insane looking 12 pound reel- I want one bad!

you think its too big for throwing 6-9" wooden swimbaits?

for real?? wrong reel for throwing stuff like that, looks like a great albie killer with the light line- like a TN-12 but I like the lever drag, for sure less torque then the trini- just a nice little reel for shits and giggles, TLD-5 on roids- if I had to have one or the other, the Trini 12 would crush the little gold Avet, but I still like the Avet- the price is right for a killer 12 pound bait reel

definetly not any kind of swimbait reel-

I'd throw a CT400 or CTE300 if your throwing 6-9" swimbaits, a little lever drag reel is not what you want if you're throwing any kind of lures- nice little bait reel though!
