I went to the delta on saturday to lads , but i have no clue where to cast or what to fish with, it was my first time fishing there to, im more of a lake fisherman, and after watching the weigh in, seeing all those big fish makes me want to fish there more, well anyways i went all day, got out for about 2 hrs to watch my uncle weigh in, and only caught 2 small fish a 1.5 and a 2 on reaction innovation's ball breaker. Does anyone know anygood top water or plastics that work well, i know sinkos do but i dont know how to fish them there. Well im out later

You may want to ask the bass-n-tubes but I will tell you it is not really safe since there is so much boat traffic and so many big boats, you may be able to find some hidden sloughs but I suggest staying away from bigger waters on the delta.

I have tubed or kick boated the Delta numorus times and I have never felt unsafe. You get idots out there just like everywhere else but as long as you keep alert you should be fine. As for places to float, you can float the back of Ladds for starters, just up the channel there is a launce at Luis Park which gives you acess to Smith Canal. Further north you can fish Whites Slough off either Gard rd or Corria rd. You can launch off the levee on Whisky Slough rd and fish Mildred Island. Tere are really endless places to fish out there and I beleve that a tube is a very good way to fish certin area. Go over to the Float Tube /Kick Boat board and post this same questions and you will get plenty of responses and suggestions.

Not true, there are many safe places to float tube on the delta. You do need to pay attention to the wind and the tides though. It is always a good idea to wear you lifevest, especially if you feel uncomfortable. Bass-n-Tubes has been fishing the delta for years and we haven't lost anyone yet.
