2921, Triple Trout question...... Posted by Slough Crew, Mon Jun-19-06 08:05 PM
I'm thinking about investing in a couple of Triple Trout and I have a few questions. How are the Triple Trout weighted and are there a couple of different weights or are they all like a ROF 10? What is the approx ROF for their fastest sinking bait? Do they make a floater? Thanks.....

Jake,
I think that Scott only offers them in one version as far as weights go. I know that he has been experimenting with different weight systems but nothing has been released to the general public. One suggestion if you want a heavier bait is to wrap the hook shanks with some soft lead so the bait won't have as much lift when cranking it.

Yes they do offer a sinking model in the Triple Trout. The 6" version only comes in the standard slow sinking. The 8" to 10" come in standard slow sinking and what they call a heavy version which is kind of like a Huddleston ROF 12. You can call Performance tackle and get more info on them. Hope this helps.
