I think you'll be stoked on the action and the bait :) They fish great on 25lb. You could go down to 20 but you know really, the Triple Trout isn't a bait where the fish are getting a real good look at it before eating it so 25 will probably get bit just as good as 20.

Use a soft rod with the Triple Trout. Fish have a habit of hitting the Triple Trout, getting hooked for a split second and then coming off. You want some give in the tip to give the fish time to latch on to the bait and to keep the hooks in during the fight.
