Although they are not on the website yet tacklewarehouse.com has the new Okuma swimbait rods in stock. You just have to call and place your order. Stoked.

Thank you!
It amazes me that Okuma still offers high quality products at such a good price! And I'm not complaining!!! :7
I have one of the Celilo 7' 10" rods that JC picked up for me and I love it! It easily outperforms my Daiwa Big Bait rod.

I have a Solaris 6'6'' ML that I use for dropshoting and throwing some lighter lures. Couldn't be happier-- and well worth the cash; I think I actually picked it up on sale. I am just really excited about the new rods, I saw them at Fred Hall after hearing some hype from here and there and was blown away. Been chomping at the bit since then. A couple more Rago rats and maybe one of those Armageddons and I am square...for awhile.

What baits would you throw with each rod?
I am planning to get one to throw some 9/10 inch stockers, live trout softbaits and 9 inch slammers. Does the XH sound right?

The XH would work for 2 out of the 3 baits that you mentioned. That rod would work for the Stockers and the Rago baits you mentioned but the Slammer needs a much lighter action.

How about the different huddlestons...which rod would you use for each rof?
thanks, nate

Nate,
The Heavy action (GS-C-761H) will work for all of the different 8" Huddlestons. The 12 inch needs a custom rod as that bait weighs about 11 ounces I believe.
