Does anyone know a place besides e-bay to find these reels? I would like a new one if possible.

Finding one new or used is gonna be a chore. The 1500 series was discontinued over 1 year ago. There are a couple places to buy the 1000 series new.

I agree just get the 201SF. I've had the 1500 superfree and the Curado 200SF and there's hardly any difference if any, except maybe the spool. Plus, you won't have problems getting the 200SF serviced locally.

Forget the scorpion I picked up a Chronarch 101 SF These are very sweet reels.

If you can find one the Shimano Metanium MG is a great reel one of the better reels i have had the chance to fish.I believe they were discontinued a while back.I've only seen the the reel your after on ebay unfortunately.

Shimano Metanium MG--> Same thing as a Chronarch Mg, but with waaaaaaaaaay worse Free-spool!;-)
I agree with Joe C, the new Chronarch's, are INSANE.
