I heard the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness can produce some nice browns and even goldens if you hike far enough. I've been up there three or four times and every time it seems to get worse. Has anyone heard the rumor that I recently heard saying Chuck Yeager fishes up there and pays a crew to come in and stock it for when he's coming through? I doubt it myself, because they'd be stocking farm-grown rainbows that fiend salmon eggs like nicotine and I've never hooked a rainbow up there, just the natives. Anyone been up there lately? How's the fishing in the Sierras right now and more importantly how bad are the mosquitoes right now? How bout Dinkey Creek, Shaver and Merced?
