Pudd is kinda hard to fish but regulars seem to do VERY well there. you can also try Santa Fe Dam, i reckon its about 10 minutes or so away.

I used to go to Pomona college and fished there all the time from shore. Dark purple roboworms and senkos can't be beat, and there's some good size fish in there too. You catch five pounders all the time. Theres a lot of good size fish on the east side just south of the dock where the road ends. My dad lost a monster there one night. Fishing at night with dark purples texas rigged or even dropped shot works great. I used to drop shot one worm and then tie another on below it where your sinker would be to see where the would hit at. It switched all the time, but slow, slow, slow retreives. It's a blast out there and on weeknights it's empty so have some fun man and let me know how they're biting. Oh yeah, watch out for the moss in the summertime, it can get pretty thick and sometimes a blue popper along the moss line got some good fish.
Good luck.

it's in claremont and is one of the claremont colleges. The lake in in Frank Bonneli park next to raging waters and the fairplex. Its got some great fishing and is usually pretty empty. I haven't been there much in the summertime though

Did you ever get to fish the pond north of Harvey Mudd and
east of the school of ministry? Big LMB in that pond.
Warning, private pond.

I'm very curious about this pond north of harvey mudd. How
private is it. I am a very low key fisher and always go alone
so if you need a fishin partner to verify those monsters don't
hesitate to let me know.

It's been quite a long time since we fished that pond. We use
to sneak in through a hole in the fence, on the north side of
the botanical garden. There were good sized bluegill and LMB
to 10#. Once every blue moon, the people that ran the garden
would let people fish the pond to thin out the LMB population.
That's about all the info I can give you.

BTW. The entrance to the garden is north on Foothill before
the school of theology. You will see a locked gate w/a no
trespassing sign.
