Springs are there and handle wll rotate both ways since posting I went to the shimano site and read they will repair the reel for 25 bucks. Heck that is a good deal I thought. I just dropped it off at the post office for 9 bucks. I will post the outcome when I find out. They said turn around is about 19 days. Thanks for the reply.
