Haven't seen many post with pics lately so i thought id put one up today. Headed out to lake murray for a few hours with my friend last week. Fishing was really slow but the bluegill bite was hot. I stuck to bass the whole day with only one small fish off of dropshot but my friend ended with 8 nice bluegills around a pound each. Today i headed to santee lakes to see how the bite is. Slow day with an occasional fish here and there. Just from looking at the lake the bass didn't seem to be out-n-about so i stuck to flippin a kreature texas rigged into the tules most of the day. Second cast of the day yielded the largest bass landed. Didn't have a scale on me but i'd estimate 4 1/2 to 5 pounds. Bad picture tho you can't tell how long the fish is so it does the fish no justice. Ended up landing 4 bass and lost about 6 or 7. Last fish of the day i hooked felt like I was moving a boulder with 20 pound spider wire and it wasn't budging. Got it out of the tules and when this thing saw me it peeled drag right back in them and got hung up. I'd say it would of gone a good 8 or 9 pounds looking at this thing. Came off shortly after it got hung up so i never landed it. Here's the two picture i took with my phone.
