Went to Del Valle on Tuesday solo mission. Got out of class around 11:30. On the water at around 1pm. I went straight up to where the water was coming into the lake. The water coming in was gin clear but around it was pure mud. Threw rips and cranks for nothing. Didn't even see any trout in the clear water. Worked my way down the lake focusing on areas I though the fish might be staging. Threw jigs and worked them slowly around the wood. Tried brown and black jigs, nothing. Decided to try to wake them up and threw the 9 inch Slammer and a lucky craft pointer minnow. Nothing there either. Finally headed out to some deep steep cliffs and dragged a brown jig and a dropshot in 20 to 50 feet. Still nothing. Pretty weak overall, never got a bite. Fish should be ready soon, they just need the water to clear up some.
