I have a buddy with an old 14' Alum. Lund that lives in Lake Elsinore, we got his boat approved last week at Skinner using my 4 stroke 15 hp kicker off the "Striper".

I'd like to get the sticker for my 14' alum. boat (rigged much better) before then but I don't know if it's going to happen.

Are you fishing a boat?

Sweet, yeah I'll be in my 14ft aluminum jon boat, 5hp honda 4 stroke, shimano stickers on the sides. There'll be an awkwardly tall and wooky-like creature on my back deck (brian #2) so we should be pretty hard to miss. I'll keep an eye out for you guys.

Ya know a couple stripers got into that lake, it's gonna be your job to cleanse the lake of them before they ruin the bass fishery :o

Not to sound like I'm bragin' but I got my tics for the first day. so how are we going to approch this lake, what baits do you all think we should start off with? Probably a bare hook will do if fishin' is as good as they say it will be.

I think just about everything will work. If you want to catch the most fish possible in the amount of time you're there, shaking a worm or dropshotting will probably do a lot of damage. Personally, I just want to catch em the fun ways :) Like rob said, it will probably be the most epic big hammer bite in the history of the world. If not 5", they will absolutely bite the 3". Besides that, I'm gonna have a slammer, maybe a jerk or crank, topwater, I dunno. You won't catch me shaking a 4" worm in 40ft on the opener, that's for sure, I wanna have fun with some easy reaction fish :7 I hear a lot of the fish are deep in that lake, so that's something to consider, but I think there'll be plenty of fish throughout the water column to provide some entertainment.
