Nice Report Brian! Pretty much summed it up.
We ended up with around 20 fish on fri. mostly between 2 & 3.5 lbs. with a 3 or so larger. We did lose a lot of fish early when they jumped until we started putting the tip underwater when we saw the bass coming up. 2 of the lost fish looked to be in the 5 to 6 lb. class. I talked to as many people as we could: One group said they had 3 over 7 dropshotting another group told us they caught 35 fish between the 4 of them. Most were very disappointed with 10 or so bass. I tried throwing topwaters & big swimbaits for a good part of the morning but gave up without a follower. Watching Karl hooking up, swimming a silver jig drove me to work the Hammers. All my fish came on 3" to 5" Big Hammer's worked more like a jig than a swimbait.

Sat. was downright brutal! I cought 3 bass & a 6 or 7 lb. carp that ate a 3" pearl Hammer while I was dealing with a tangle. Karl missed his only 2 bites during our short stay sat.
