shad imitation crank baits worked for me.

Wils, what crank were you using? and what areas did you have the best luck?

shallow diving ra-paw-la. about 2 1/2" long.
cast through the boils. the waters down about 20' from a month ago; they must have used a LOT of water to fight the fires. :( the fish are pretty much everywhere.

like an original minnow? how is the topwater bite going? and spinnerbaits?
what colors for the shad imitations... i'm thinking of running down to this great tackle shop i found... great stuff and pretty inexpensive...

Dilbert I think Wils is probably referring to the Rapala shad rap, it's a crankbait. Just use the silver or shad color ones, pretty much anything that would imitate a shad. i tried spinnerbaits and only had followers. there's was a little ripple on the surface so i didn't bother with the topwater.

when should i use a buzz
as for the shad rap would a risto rap in hot mustard work? i havent been able to use it without a better outfit that i got so i wanna see if it works
