Sat. started at first light and went hunting. We fished till about 3:00. I caught 3 louis caught
1. I got one good one and two small fish I caught while louis was working a big girl. He
hooked her within 10 minutes but she must have been spitting the bluegill out when he
swung. She shook her big head a couple times with just the top hook in her uper lip, then she
threw it. He worked her for about an hour after that but she wouldnt bite again. she would get
about 4 inches away but not commit. I also lost a toad probably my teen. I hooked her and
she immediately burried her self into one of those damn trees. I had her pinned to a branch
about 10 feet down. louis was pulling the branch up while I kept pressure on her. He pulled as
hard as he could and got the fish to about 5 feet . I had my arm all the way in the water with
the net and was trying to get her in and somehow I got the bluegill stuck in the net and
knoked her off. So close! I did end up with a 9 1/2 lber so I wasnt to sad. Those were pretty
much the only fish we fished for. The big fish hit my Mattlures bluegill and the dinks were on jigs
Sunday. louis cancled at the last minute so I went out solo. I ended up with a big
fat nuthin! I didnt see any big ones on beds.
