i feel bad about not posting..i will try to get a report out everyweek.i usually fish once or twice or if im lucky three times a week..but here goes..

Got up early headed up to silverwood.got my nightcrawler and chovies..set up my tube and i was off..i was drifting one with NC and the other with chovies it was very slow at first till i got a hit on my NC..Set the hook and it was on and a minute into the fight farm it and next thing you know it hit my nc again ..i was thinking what a dumb fish..brought it in and it was a 18.5 LMB guessimate about 2.5 lbs very skinny fish just must have spawned out..but anyways forgot to take a pic.(realeased) OK started to drift more in the middle of the cove and bam my chovie get hit and its a 12 in cats..lol i was laughing my butt off it hit like a big striper.i thought it was a striper but it was a dinky cat. While baiting up my pole my NC get hit wham ..set the hook on this sucka and this was a bigger cat ..he was bobbin head all the way down..Well kept this one.HE was about 4lb.it was a pretty channel cat no sores..Well drifting around the same spot caught about 4 more. keep the two biggest and realease 4 small ones..i was thinking about heading in but while i was drifting around a get a big hit nearly ripped the pole out of my hands..fought it for a few mins.i Bring in my first striper of the day about 3.5 lb.drifted the same spot for another one about 1.5 lb.then the wind picked up telling me to leave so ended up keeping 2 cats and 2 stripers..Man i wish they have big bluegills here.

COOL STEPHEN! :7 I have been wanting to go since they have now opened. Soon, hopefully. Nice to hear it's sparking up. I also can't wait til Pyramid opens again. I hear it should open during the 4th of July weekend. :-)

Is the water really that coffe stained this year, or is it just the colors in the pics? Which arm or basin were you in? My Ex-Mother-in-law (who is still Mom2) just moved from San Bernardino to Apple Valley and is within 20 minutes of the lake now. I may have to take my kids to visit her a little more often. ;-) I lived down there for a few years and liked fishing there except for the long drive from the San B/Riverside area. You gotta love a lake that you can get 2-5# Bass, 2-8# Cats and a 6# Striper all within 1 hour on a Mann's 20+ Deep Pig.
Tight lines,
Wade

Thanks for the report SF, nice variety of fish. It's fun just kicking around in the bouyed area back in cleghorn, always something to catch in there. There making trout and catfish plants right now.

Wade, the water is a little stained, which seems better than too clear. the winds have been coming up lately and blowing hard, there's still some debris being picked up along the shorline and making the water off colored.

If you can deal with the windy evenings it's really nice there right now, weekends are definetly busy.
