Hi, i just moved to hesperia from down near la and i am un knowledged as far as fishing areas are out here on the aquaduct. I live right near where the aquaduct is open to fishing on ranchero and 11th. any fish in this area? any close areas would help greatly as i have not had a line in the water in a few months........im going through major withdrawls.......thank u

Hey Robert. I'm kinda new to the fishing scene in the high desert myself. I went with a couple of other guys two weeks ago and we landed 8 cats ranging from 4 lbs to 10 lbs. If you take Bear Valley Rd. west until it turns into a dirt road and continue until it's paved again (2 or 3 miles) you will cross the duct. You can park there and walk thru the pedestrian gates and soak your line. The best results I have seen there, were off of chicken liver. I have heard a lot of good things about fishing near the Bakers on main, west of the 15 freeway. I plan on giving that place a shot this weekend. Good luck. Mark
