I agree with you, Rob. If more locals gave more information about more saltwater and freshwater spots, that would spread any increased fishing around. I do not think that "punks" and "skinheads", who rightly concern others on this thread, use calfishing to choose their fishing or troublemaking destinations. Nor do I think that a major portion of the cyberspace world is about to converge on this County because of fishing spots mentioned here. First, redrock is mentioned in at least one fishing book that I know. Second, there are much better places for smallmouth on the Westcoast than the SYRiver.

My son and I are new to Santa Barbara but we fished redrock long before this thread began. After all, redrock is part of a NATIONAL Forest. We found good holes there by knowing how to read a river, not by reading posts. We leave no litter and clean up other's litter, quite possibly litter left by locals; not that I have anything against locals, because I too am now one.


Rob, your philosophy for a fishing website is best for the longrun viability of this site.
