Well said, Brian. However, perhaps my position is too legalistic and the other position is too emotional. The more "realistic" point of view might be between these two. In this regard there is something about which both sides should be concerned: poaching at red rock. I am very irked about the report on this thread about the poacher seen there. There must certainly be other poachers. Does anybody know if reporting this at the time to a Forest Ranger does any good? Do they care, and , if they do, are they authorized to cite the poacher and seize the fish, or is this strictly left to DFG officers?
