Maybe I'm not clear on this, it sounds like your sad a poacher got caught. I say let them (proverbially) dangle. If they did the crime they can do the time (or whatever).

As for the issue of information dissemination, those who are going to be checking this sight (I'd like to think) are for the most part morally respectful fishermen. If Brian were posting this info at the local K-mart or Wal-mart next to the pre tied leaders and power-goo, that would be a different matter. And BTW it's probably already there in the form of a "Guide to Fishing in California". I'd like to think the people who post and read here are the kind that fill a shopping bag with other peoples trash when they see more than 2 beer cans at their favorite spot.
Yes there are going to be low life waistes of space that manage to screw up just about anything if given a chance, but I doubt posting things here is going to bring the pillaging hordes. Of course that's just my $.02.
