I am going to the delta in two weeks for bass
on the sacramento side is that the east side,west side,or north side.
what kind of bass are down there
what is good bait this time of the year for bass
do they go after jitterbugs,senkos, spinnerbait or wat
and why is salmon illegal to catch down there.
please help

I answered some questions on the other forum but here is what I have for these.

Sacramento is considered the North. If you go straight down to Stockton and Tracy area that is the East.

Bass fishing should be good in a week or two. I still heard it was tough this past weekend but know the bite is going to turn on soon. Usually this is a great time of year to be on the water.

Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs, worms, topwater and everything else in your box is going to be working soon. If you want to keep it simple have a spinnerbait (wht/char is universal), jig (blk/red, blk/blu) and senko (whatever your preference is) and you'll do well. I'll be throwing a lot of hard and soft swimbaits soon as the big females are going to start munching or protecting their nests. Don't forget about a frog too. An amazing tool that can be worked almost everywhere.
