Had some more correspondence with DFG recently on the Shadow Cliffs back ponds. While the ponds are still closed, the issue is still being worked and I am patiently participating in the process.

The word from DFG is that,

"The proposal has been approved by management internally but will need to go to the Fish and Game Commission for approval.

These processes generally take a while due to the number of approvals required as well as the high volume of proposals / projects that require review.

They also indicated that they are, "hoping that we see reg changes by 2011 but cannot guarantee anything at this point."

I'm a bit disillusioned by how drawn out the process is but I will continue to work on this to get those back ponds open.
