Any EBRP lake.

And ya - your post is about to get hijacked by illegal lakes. Upper SL res though. Any lake that hires professional trackers that call in a helicopter to arrest you for catch and release bank fishing is pretty ridiculous.

I am gonna toss in any Santa Clara County reservoir. Late opening times, lake closures, reservations, and mussel inspections are all lame!

Pretty much every lake is California... I'm over it. Two more Muskie trips planed for October and November this year.... Lake of the Woods with Rob next summer. No zebra mussel crap, no worrying about being off the lake so I don't get a ticket, no worrying about going 28 MPH when the speed limit is 25, etc...

Any San Diego County Lake. No night fishing, unless certain specified times of the year or you are a tournament fisherman,Lakes open and close at stupid and weird times, and the quagga and Zebra Mussels thing is a waste of time, these lakes want people's money, but they kick people out for the slightest bit of water in their boats. Stupid.DVL is on my list too, and I've never been to LMV but they do have stupid rules.

Man! LOL While I agree with a few of you; I think I'm gonna have to go with Lake Poway here. Great little lake, doesn't get enough credit IMO; but the rules suck. First off, it's VERY tiny. I think it's like 50 acres or so. Could be wrong! It's smaller than LMV, SMALLER than Dixon. And that's FULL! Now you can't fish in the marina area. You have to have your boat outside the buoy line. The buoy line that stretches across the lake so you can't fish the dam; takes a good section of the lake away. I'd say close to a third. They have a 100 foot rule! The rule states that you can't have your boat within 100' from shore. This rule is mainly to protect bank fishermen. They do allow you to break this rule to some degree, but still. If you have your boat close to the bank on certain parts of the lake; they will get on you. You are not suppose to beach the boat. You are not suppose to have your boat within 100' from other boats; which is a joke. It's rental boat or bank fishing only. Electric motor only; which is plenty for that lake. It can get VERY VERY crowded during the trout stocks. I bass fish only there, but the trout fishermen can get crazy. Some guys troll around the lake like you're not there. It gets annoying! During the spawn, you're basically just haulin' up and down the banks multiple times throughout the day, behind other guys; trying to spot something. It's a great lake, the bite can be really good; but MAN :( !

On the plus side, they have kept their prices pretty low; compared to other lakes. Lake Dixon for example, raised their prices to the point where I won't rent a boat there. They raised their prices, but didn't improve ANYTHING. They have the same horrible boats, the same old batteries that die; and the same beat up electric motors. And they only give you one battery. Poway will give you two batteries for the trolling motor if you ask. They have nicer boats and newer batteries. Prices are the same they've been for years. They no longer require a fishing license to fish there; which is great for the people that can't afford them or whatever. They do have night fishing in the summer. And they offer discounts for military and old people like my dad :D ! LMAO

So it's a cool lake, it has many pluses; but could ease up on a few things IMO.

Like Mark said, every lake in SoCal has issues. Don't get me started on the lake levels rising and falling all the time. This year was horrible for that. Lots of lakes in San Diego are very low right now. I do like the low levels, but I hate how some lakes raise and lower overnight it seems.

LOL I can go on and on about all this.
