Kramer making some pretty strong statements regarding quagga in Diamond Valley Lake. Several guys commenting on his blog saying they've seen them in there too.

This will be big if true. What will MWD do? Close Diamond Valley Lake to everyone? Leave it open like the San Diego lakes have been left open?

If DVL has the mussels, how long until more big lakes have the mussels? Is it simply inevitable? Should we just concede to survival of the fittest, if fittest means a bivalve well adapted to being transplanted by many vectors, especially humans?

The real showdown will come on the day some ignorant boater takes a trip from an "infested" location to the CA Delta. It will happen eventually. Then what? What's the plan?
