35, Fatty bass by Summer

Hey all-
all I have to say is that Santa Margarita Lake rules!! I got 3 bass today on a black and silver rattle trap that Rob hooked me up with (excuse the pun). The first one was a major lunker (for me) it was about 3.0lbs. I caught all of my fish in the swimming pool cove. The other one's were about 12inches long. I was fishing out of the back of the boat, because that's how cool I am, and was slaying them. The first one I caught was so rad...it pulled so much drag. I was reeling and all of a sudden WHAM there it was. Then the other one was cool too, but the other one was better. I thought I was snagged on some weeds, then I was like...these weeds are pulling back, and there it was, a nice bass for me.
Rob was using a chrome and blue speed trap. Rob caught 2 fish about 2lbs each, 4 or 5 dinks and one nice one which weighed in at 3lbs 12oz. Matt caught three with one nice one about 3lb and two smaller ones. He was using a chrome and blue rattle trap. We fished in the marina cove and in the swimming pool cove. The weather was really nice up there to boot. See you out there!

Summer, you did an excellent job catching those bass. Even from the back of the boat what were you thinking. You and Rob should be a kind of tag team for professional fresh water fishing. But, you know that I am biased to salt water fishing. That is where the real aciton is.
I will talk to you soon
Danielle
