Today I didn't make it up to the lake until about 6:00pm due to classes, and I managed to leave my foot<BR> control for my trolling motor under a table at home, so it wasn't the most epic of trips. The good news is<BR> that the shad showed in the marina the last two mornings and Dean was able to get a couple hundred in his<BR> cage. He hooked me up with a dozen and I headed over to Jackass. Lacking an anchor rope or trolling motor,<BR> I drifted some points in Jackass and Salsipuedes bays and wound up with 6 dink bass and one 2lb crappie. I<BR> was surprised at the lack of size because the shad were 3-4 inches long. Back at the marina the word was<BR> that the topwater had been happening with one guy getting 5 on a rico.
