Aaron seems to get stronger as the tournament days go on. Hope he can continue that trend at the Classic. Kinda nice to see former West Coaster Jay Yelas in the lead though.
B.A.S.S. is probably hoping that a qualifier from the now defunct Western Invitational Circuit doesn't win, it will bring up questions why most anglers from the West won't have a chance to qualify for the Classic next year.

Go Aaron, Avenge Us!!!!!

I am a big fan of Robert Lee, but if Aaron won that would be awesome too! I can't think of anyone else who is as good as Aaron when it comes to catching consistent big bags of spotted bass. Hopefully the West will kick butt. Now if I only had cable so I could tape this stuff ... Luckily Brian has me covered :-)

I was amused at all the east coasters being so baffled by the deepwater fishing. It seemed like everybody was fishing shallow despite the better fish in deep water. I forget who it was, but somebody said they could mark good fish in deep water but couldn't get any to bite so he fished shallow instead.

Something tells me we're gonna hear about the dropshot when this is all over with... I think Aaron might have the advantage in this one. He could have a good chance at this one.

Brian,

Aaron is fishing shallow water also. He's fishing a bunch of schooling spotties w/various reaction baits. Just goes to show you how capable he is at adapting to both deep and shallow water fish. In my opinion he is one of the best fishermen at fishing all techniques, very well rounded.
