anybody been to berryessa lately. anybody give any input? i am going there next weekend and have never fished the lake before. going for smallies/spots/lm. any suggestions?

This time of year I'd bring some Lucky Craft ripbaits, some craw pattern crank baits and plenty of small worms for drop shotting. Witches T is always a good color at Berryessa.
Try secondary points and the backs of coves. The rip/crank bite should happen early and late. Drop shot during the middle of the day.

The bass-n-tubes are having a tourney there next month out of Spanish Flat.

i am fishing out of a boat. what date is their tourney? i also have one there next month as well.

The Bass-n-Tubes tourney will be March 15 & 16.

well ours is march 8th. i will let you know what we find.

well we found a big donut on saturday while pre-fishing which seemed to be about the same for everybody else we talked to as well. we got 2 squeakers all day. both smb. one on a lc pointer and the other on a curly-tailed grub shook on darter-head. have tourney in 2 weeks. will let you know if any better at that time.
