Fished Topanga today from 5-11AM. I started off at the point and caught 3 sandies along with a calico. There were some cuda around too but they just couldn't find the hook on my swimbait. I wasted a bunch of time tossing plastics out to about 45ft. hoping that I could find a nice halibut but it never materialized for me. Back in shallow I caught a 3 more decent calicos and a grass rockfish at around 12". I also had a nice fish on that was pulling a little drag on 12# but he threw the hook before I could get a look at him. Finished the day on the point in 25' of water for two identical halibut at 12", a decent calico and a small sandbass. Water was murky and cold. All fish caught and released on 5" Sardine or Prizm Pepper Trout Big Hammers with Sardine producing best.
