Finally had a decent jump on the bugs last night, ended up with 11.
Mostly nice size.

Karl got the first halibut I've ever seen caught at night. It totally inhaled a 4" fluorescent Green (Sand Bass Special) Big Hammer with a fluorescent Green Hammer Head.

He had to completely dissect the fish to get the Hammer out of it's belly. It was pretty funny, Karl was on 10 lb & was freaking out about it being a good fish as it wrapped one of our ropes. Ron & I figured it was a sandbass so we were just laughing, watching the bouy go down like a bobber. Finally we backed up to the rope, so I start pulling it up & barely see the shadow of a good halibut & yell gaff. Ron came over my shoulder to gaff him out of no where, couldn't see the fish at all due to the fog, pitch black & dirty water. First shot, thing had to still be 3' under the surface!

Gonna make some good poker night snacks!

Josh

You can't catch it again if it's dead!
