Met up with Ewar, for a leisurely fishing trip in the South bay on his bass boat. Dropped anchor and a Unibomb near some steep banks and commenced a’ angling.
Eron nailed a fat bone on the first cast. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0981.jpg
Soon after I got a nice bonefish. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0975.jpg Boom, boom, boom, let me hear you say Wayoo.
Eron enjoyed some easy money bonefishing, while I ATTEMPTED to catch a big corvina. I went through my entire arsenal of corvina tricks with no love.
“Peter Criss should really sing more of these songs†http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0974.jpg
Ewar was unstoppable on this day. Catching bone after bone, plus numerous other fishes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0982.jpg
He also caught lot’s of Jellopeen Croaket. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0983_0001.jpg And topped it off with the day’s only vine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0986.jpg
We switched spots and set up in a nice little pool. I caught this nice 22.5 in halibut, my first legal! Wahoo!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0987.jpg
The day was getting long in the tooth, so we checked back at our original spot. It was time for me give up on the corvina hunt and catch some fish. I was getting pretty jealous after watching Eron catch fish all day. He had caught over 20 fish and I only had 3 or 4. I tied on a 2†Chartreuse grub and whack a bone and a spotty. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0989.jpg Quickly running out of time we hit one more spot on the way home. I tied on a Chartreuse 1oz Spinbombs, and whacked 3 nice spotties in a row. NOW, I could go home.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v388/fishtricks/100_0991.jpg I need a little piece. Oi.

Nice fish brotha... But hate to break it to ya! That is not a Halibut :)
You were probably just jokin, but if not, you might want to do a little research on "halibut". LOL

Ohhhh, that explains why it was so difficult to fillet.

If it was white on the bottom, it was a halibut! :D
Nice work on the bones, I gotta get my yak back there for one of those.

Nice Bonefish! Looks like they are getting more common and are possibly expanding their range.
