launched this morning at a good September spot in SB. Lots of bait just off the beach. Took nearly 5 minutes to fill a kayak tank with mackeralitas y sardinas, then in close to slow troll with a dropper loop. Not a lot of Halibut but the two I caught went 25 and 28 inches. Great day with lots of sun and little wind!

same spot today, great conditions! no wind and hot, hot, HOT! hooked up to a huge fish, some headhsakes and quick runs, thought I hooked into a 40 lb halibut. turned out to be a Angel Shark in 5 ft of water!! the thing was about 4 ft long! ended up breaking off after 3 minutes. Never seen one of those before in SB.

September is a great month to be in SB. The kids are back in school but the weather can be so good, especially on the water. Glad to see some halibut action is happening out there :)
