Well the local Calico are still chewing even with the wind dropping the water temps from 70 to 63 degrees. The fish are spawning which makes for a fun bite. Its pretty much full speed on the 4-5" Big Hammers and fly lined chovy. Many of the fish are small but there are some better fish mixed in. No pics but its lots of fun out there right now.

The wind was blowing last night so much that the anchor would not hold on the kelp or hard bottom near the kelp. At one point there was over 200' of anchor line out and we still drug it over 650'. It didn't matter because the bass bit so well. He decided to live with it and just let everyone fish and have a good time.

The Clemente crew did a fantastic job despite the bad conditions and 20-30kt winds. Captain Jack kept us on the spots and we caught lots of calico and a few sandbass. I bet it will get even better once the water warms back up.
