Anyone ever fish for any Giant Squid?? I have been seeing them pop up in reports from down south again and I gotta git me some. I have fished squid locally in Santa Barbara, but that was to be used as bait. Of course after the fishing was done we ate some and it is delicious, one of my favorite seafoods! Are the Giant Squid basically the same as the smaller ones we catch or are the somehow different? If anyone has any tips, advice or any info at all let me know. I know it isn't comparble to catching albies or something but I think it could be an experience worth having. If anyone has a pic of one I would love to see it as well! Thanks in advance!

They were close to shore off the piers about 3 weeks ago. Some still around according to the counts off Dana and Newport, but I think they are farther out in the water now. Here are some of the ones I got 3 weeks ago.
