Hit State for about an hour of post-flu (sorta) fishing. Fished for an hour or so, casting all the normal perch stuff. Caught 2, 5" and 7". Lost a couple others.

Wind was up pretty good, and waves were constant, though not big. Swell is definitely dwindling. Water seemed about 60ยบ, air about the same.

After almost a month with no serious water time, I can't wait for my vacation. Christmas - New Years off. At least 4 full days of fishing, yeehaw.

Ed,

Your post is like a lighthouse sending out an RDF/ LORAN signal in the middle of a monsoon!

Haven't fished since the 7th of this month. What do surf guys do when they arn't fishing? Buying more gear!

Today, I invested in a sweet little Shimano Symetre 2000 that I married to my Fenstick 9'0" Salmon/Steelhead Rod. Laid on about 220 yards of 4# p-line.

Absolutely cannot wait until weather conditions settle down. I was down at Oceanside Harbor this afternoon and it appears that the surf is subsiding at the moment.

Another squall is on the horizon so the weatherman says. We shall see. Hoping to try out my new little Shimano Jewel here sometime soon!

Big Bardies are around the corner!!

Tight Lines Everyone and Merry Christmas!!

Looking for a trip down there for Thurs. morning w/ my dad and brother. Hopefully, 8-11 or so. Though we might decide on Newport, because it's much closer. If you're free, I'll let you know what we decide on.
