I know what you mean about the corbina. I've thrown a lot of plastic at those over the years with out even a lick. Half the time when I take my plastic off and put a softshell in front of the same fish the result is instant hook up. I ruled out plastic fishing for corbina but now that I caught a few corbs on the plastic I've learned that they won't eat it when sandcrabs crabs are available or when they're spawning. Of course there are always acceptions. Crab availability and spawning kind of go hand and hand with those fish. I also learned that the few fish that stay local during the winter will not hesitate to eat the plastic when they see it swim by. My favorite color is orange red. If you've ever seen a the color of a fireball tube bait that's the one..Thanks for the report. See you on the water.
