8548, Christmas eve report

Sorry to post late as the day was real hectic after fishing. Went down to saltcreek and found the strands beach has disappeared. There was no dry sand and this was at low tide, so much for that--all rocks. I fished around for nothing but short bites on the 2.5 inch grubs. I went down to a "fatter" 1.5 inch for nothing (maybe a bad tail design--very old-style kalin, stiff). Switched to a newer style 1.5 and finally got bit. The fish weren't dinks causing the short bites--they were 8 inchers but must have wanted a real small grub today. I caught 4 BSPs at 8-inches, 3 at 5-inches, a short halibut (about 13-inches). All released, fished from 7 to 9 am. Calico cocktail dabbed baits definitely got bit better in the new colder water. Fish were in-tight, like only 10 feet from the edge.
