Black stripe up my back! Skunko big time! Grubbed South Carlsbad and Buccaneer in South Oceanside. Not one hit on anything. 7.1 high tide this morning at 7:00a.m. Water was really rough with a very prevailant south swell.

Worst day in the surf that I can remember. On a bright note , ran into AmishEd at Buccaneer and had a chance to rap as my brother and I were leaving.

Ed, did you do anything at Buc? Went home cleaned my gear and watched a very boring Rose Bowl. Will lick my wounds and give things another shot this weekend weather permitting.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Negative. Got a few good bites. Swung and had one for a couple headshakes, but it came off. It felt small though. Definitely try Buc on a high tide, those holes will fill in nice. I remember last year winter it was a high tide spot too. Beach gets too much sand outside, for good perchin' anyways.

Same results over this past weekend. Humiliated and humbled. Makes you love and yearn for the good days which will certainly come. I'm concerned about the amount of sand we are loosing due to the ultra high tides and surf here in NSDC.

Hope conditions shape up by the weekend.

Tight Lines!
