I took my 5 year old out for his first ever trip on the big Salty. We anchored by the bait receiver in Dana Harbor and caught endless Jacksmelt to his delight. We then cruised out of the harbor and south to my killer spots off doheny, and met a buddy in a shark donut who took some pictures with my digital.

I couldn't be happier with my electric fish n dive. For "normal" fishing I might not bother with the motor, but for what I was doing today, it was all I hoped for and more. I am a happy dad.

(I bet you were hoping for a "zillion fish" report...not this time!)

Hey there Quietman,

Glad to see you out with the guy that just might out-fish you in not too many years!!! Wouldn't that be great?!

I'm especially glad to note where you were and in that harbor. I see there was no problem. I noticed only one PFD for that particular pic. I'm wearing mine full time from now on not just for safety but for the you-know-who. I hope everyone gets it!!! and wears the darn things.

The other site's down just now so type at ya later.

Hey I had mine on the 'yak, blue thingy on the back!
I didn't see any float tubers in the harbor today, but they were out in force yesterday, no problem...
