9723, Question about Santa Barbara Harbor
Posted by Charlie, Wed May-14-03 02:04 PM
Hey I have a question that i am hoping some of you Santa Barbara guys can help me with. Can you catch fish using swimbaits fishing from the shore in the Santa Barbara harbor area? I sometimes see guys fishing on the sand bar out there and i was curious if this sort of fishing can be productive. Let me know what you guys think, what are some good spots to fish in the harbor, good baits, good times and good approaches? I am thinking about fishing there in the Santa Barbara harbor this weekend and I was wondering what I could expect. Once again thanks for your help guys and have great weeks!!!

Here's what you need:
Light Tackle (6 - 8 lb. test)
3 inch Big Hammers
1/8 - 1/4 oz. Assalt Darter Heads

It can be very productive for halibut and the occasional white seabass. All the info you need to get started is in these two articles:
