Since there are many anglers who visit this forum in their quest for trophy fish of all species I thought this might be interesting to hear other's opinions. Which of the following do you feel is a more accomplished angler based upon their achievements while on the water? A trophy angler that gets to fish 1-4 days a week, or more, and they are able to stick many trophy fish throughout the course of a year but they also go through periods of a tougher bite or only encounter smaller fish. Secondly, an angler that only gets to fish 10-30 days a year but they are able to utilize their time on the water to the maximum extent so that by the end of the year they have landed 2-5, or more, trophy fish.

To me it seems obvious both would be very talented anglers but the second angler for various reasons has limited opportunities to pursue their favorite trophy gamefish. The second angler must know exactly what they are doing in order maximize their limited time on the water but because they are constantly fishing some anglers may conclude the person is not devoted to their passion. The first angler is able to prove their abilities from the results of chasing their respected fish and they may also show their dedication through the large amounts of time they are allowed on the water. What do you guys think?
