I am thinking about making my own trout hardbait. I don't think I will have too much trouble with making the bait but I am interested in knowing if the baits need to be weighted inside to swim upright, if so how do you weight them? Also, what kind of paint is best to use?
I understand if nobody wants to give up secrets on baits but I just don't want to go through all the work of crafting my lure and then have it flop over on its side without it swimming at all.
