Tm, you misunderstood my comments. scents work, but probably have more effect as a masking agent instead of an attractant. My comments are based on 40+ years of fishing and testing scents and attractants. I've used every commercial attractant and many home concoctions. I've tested at all conditions and times and on many species. Some testing and observations are based on my 20 years experience as a fisheries manager. The bottom line, if you use scents, like a new lure, use them religiously, under all conditions. Don't use them a few times under ideal conditions and proclaim, it works!
