For the last few years I've been using Loctite Super Glue Control Gel. This is good superglue and I like how it doesn't run, but darn if the tip doesn't get clogged constantly.

What is your favorite and why?

In what context? Gluing hard baits, soft baits, rods, boat parts, fishing partner's lips together?

I use super glue primarily to glue my fingers together :)

Zap-a-gap is what I have been using. They make a larger bottle that has two caps. The nose of the bottle is not tapered too much so you can cut it back once it gets too clogged. Typically a needle helps unclog the tip. You can get it at a local hobby store for model building.

I just picked up a new bottle of Krazy Glue which claims the tip will not clog. Its using a new bottle and cap design too. I'll let you know in a week or so.

I've had the same issue, I usually only get the chance to use the glue once or twice and then the cap is sealed shut or the nozzle is a solid chunk of glue.

Recently I tried the Loctite brand Super Glue, Precision max. This stuff dries really fast and solid, I've always been a fan of Loctite products since I use them daily at work.

So far this new style container had lasted the longest of any others I have tried, no clogging or evaporation issues at all, and it's been 2 months and counting.

If you are not using hobby store superglue, you are missing out.

I buy it in 1oz bottles for 5.99 at my local hobbystore. It is made by BSI Adhesives ( Bob Smith Industries), and rebranded with the hobby store's name. Compare that to a normal tube of Krazy Glue for 2.99 that is only .07 ounces ($42.71 per ounce).

Besides the price, the other great feature in my mind is that you can get it in varying thicknesses. From watery ultra-thin, to a gel like viscosity.

Like any superglue, the nozzle will occasiionally get plugged, but unlike other glues, it is very easy to declog since the nozzle is removable.

I favor the containers with the brush applicators rather than the squeeze tips. Seems like they stay put when applied, rather than running down my fingers.
