I have a couple of Ospreys with the original harness with the eyelit and I want to take them out so the line runs through the plastic to the split ring of the hook. How would I go about doing this without ripping the plastic too much? Any info is appreciated.

Try searching the archives on this forum for Osprey or osprey re-rig, pro-rig or the like. I think it's been discussed a few times in the past, so you could probably find some good information on it.
