I just ordered my new boat! I decided to go with the Lowe 1448 and a 9.9 Honda. They're putting everything together for me and all I have to do is go pick it up. It's a few hours away so it'll probably be next week. Unless Brian wants to go get it for me Ha Ha.

That's cool man,i have heard nothing but good things about Honda engines.Run forever and really quiet.

Have fun breaking that baby in,hopefully i'll be in the market for a boat by this time next year.

Congrats on the new boat. As much fun as I had delivering rob's boat, I think I'll have to pass on this one... :-)

That's going to be an awesome setup :) Post some pics when you get her set up. I'm always curious to see how people rig up their small boats. We can all learn from eachother on this stuff.

Ok, I have one more question. I swear it's the last one.

I just picked up my new boat, and i'm getting ready to trick this thing out. I'm going to do some experimenting with decks and carpeting and figure that out on my own. The thing I need help with is the trolling motor battery. I bought a Minn Kota 40lb motor and I need a battery that'll run it all day. I'm not too concerned about price, I just want to make sure I get a good one. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had a trojan, it was good. I have one called american battery company now, it's good too. Just whatever you do, don't buy maintenance free. Get the kind you have to fill yourself with water every once and a while. I'm sure other people will have more specific recommendations for you. Bigger is better.
