someone stole my trout plug rod! why they stole just one i will never know. i had to park my boat at the marina to grab some water, when i came back only one thing was gone...my catala/loomis combo! i was and still am seriously ticked, and there were literally over 100 at the marina that dat, so its long gone. i was wondering till i get the money to replace all this, would a 7'tourney special im7 rod MH with a quantum iron, or if i cant find one a POS corsair work for about 6 months? i have literally no money, aside from about 150 dollars in the bank after buying my triton, so do you think this cheap setup will work for as long as 4-6 months?

i pretty much only throw 7" stocker trouts. i had very little success on anything else but this, i threw it 3 casts, for one about 8 inhale it, very next cast, at least 12 lbs clobbers it, i jerked it away, and it came rushing after it. THAT was AWESOME to see...anyways, the line was obviously frayed and snapped like 2 lb test lol, 25 lb stren high impact.

You should look at ebay and see if you can get a cardiff or catala, they have a lot of reels and used reels that are pretty cheap. As far as rods the heartland daiwa at tackle warehouse is pretty cheap I don't know how good it is but you should hopefully be able to put something together pretty quick. Sorry about the setup, that must have pissed you off!
