Ok, here's what I've been working on. This is the first plug I made. I test ran it yesterday and it ran a little crooked so I put some weights in the bottom if it. I haven't tested it yet, but it's now floating straight up and down so we'll see what happens. The last pic is the bluegill plug I made. I've also got that one to sit straight up and down in the water but I still need to put the finish on it, put in the eyeballs and bill, and pour a tail for it. Today I finished my round plug. It came out lookin nice. I'm gonna wait another day for the finish to dry before I fish it cause I smudged the finish while putting the hooks on, so I guess it's not dry yet... Tomorrow I'll have the report of how that performs. I ran it through my pond and it kicked pretty good, so it ought to swim.

Those are pretty cool. The bluegill is a neat idea if you can make it swim right.

lol, uh, if I understand the question, my lures look pretty good in the water... I took the plug in the first two pics, and another round plug that I made to carneros yesterday and got em dialed in. Both of em now run straight. They run niiiice. The round plug wobbles a little more than I'd like it to while it kicks, so I'm gonna round off the bill and see what that does. The other plug is dialed. I can run it super super slow and it still kicks like a champ. Almost as slow as I can move it through the water and it'll kick. Very nice. -Brian

Hey Brian,
Post another pic sometime of the bluegill plug you got there. This one's too small to get a good look. I think a good bluegill or panfish bait would whack 'em. Or even a crappie looking thing...you know.
Castaic makes the bluegill, but I think it's too small....Maybe I need to see theirs again too..
