Striper...I concur with your observations. Although I don't have the vast experience that you have, I am another old fisherman who has tried and tested several of the scents that have been introduced over the last 30+ years.
I always carry my favorite spray scent for my hands and a gell product for my baits.
I have been telling people for years the scents are at least as important as a masking agent as they are as an attractant.
I don't know if Copenhagen and/or Coors repel fish, but there's no use taking the chance.
Happiness is a tight line and a stiff pole.:-)
