I was wondering if Curado's either the 5.1 or 3.8 are any good for throwing bigger sized swimbaits? I would get a calcutta but hate the metal reel freezing my hands in the cold weather. Is anyone using curado's for swimbaits if so what size swimbaits do you think there sutable for throwing.

Thanks,
Taylor

I'd stick to the 5:1, the 3.8:1 is too slow in my opinion- even throwing the DD-22, that's what I got the 3.8 for, if you ever want to gain line for another cast it sucks. You can always slow down with the 5:1, pretty close to the Calcutta, but you can't speed up the 3.8, you could wear out your arm trying to get your line back if you missed a target. Mind over matter, just slow it down with the 5:1
If a big girl ate the swimbait and started swimming towards you, good luck-
